Chapter One
Mumbai, 2020 · Chapter I
It started with a single swipe on Bumble — a split-second decision that neither of us knew would change everything. Among a sea of profiles, something made us pause on each other. That small, almost accidental moment turned out to be the beginning of the greatest story of our lives.
Mumbai, 2020 · Chapter II
Our first date at Starbucks was supposed to be casual — just two people getting to know each other over coffee. But we talked for hours, laughed effortlessly, and the evening refused to end. One date became two, two became many, and somewhere along the way, we stopped being strangers and started being us.
Mumbai, 2020–21 · Chapter III
We quickly discovered we shared the same love language — food. Mumbai became our personal culinary playground. From tiny hole-in-the-wall spots to new restaurants we'd been eyeing for weeks, every meal was an adventure. Eating together, discovering together, falling a little more in love with each bite.
Marine Drive · Chapter IV
Some of our most treasured memories were written on Marine Drive as the sun dipped into the Arabian Sea. The golden light, the sound of the waves, the two of us just present in that moment together. Between sunsets, we chased adventures and thrilling experiences, building a world of memories that belong only to us.
Our Journey
2021
A simple coffee at Starbucks turned into something neither of us expected. What began as a casual meeting quickly became hours of effortless conversation, laughter, and the feeling that maybe… this was something special.
2021 — 2022
The year we truly discovered each other. We laughed endlessly, surprised each other, argued, learned, and grew together. Through every fight and every apology, our bond only became stronger. Somehow, in the middle of all the chaos of life, we fell deeply in love..
2022 — 2023
The year started beautifully. More memories, more laughter, more dreams about the future. But in August, life tested us long distance began. Miles separated us, but our hearts refused to drift apart..
2023 - 2024
He asked. She said yes. The moment that made every sacrifice, every distance, every waiting moment — completely worth it.
2024 - 2025
Love had grown too big to keep waiting. We introduced each other to our families, shared our dreams, and started planning a life together. What began as two people in love was now becoming two families coming together..
2026
The wait is almost over. Pihu comes home to Vaibhav, to a new country, to a new life together. No more goodbyes at airports. Only hellos.
Three Years Apart
"Distance means so little when someone means so much. And you, Pihu, have always meant everything."
Three years of late-night calls, time zone math, and counting down days.
Three years of airports that felt both like heartbreak and pure joy.
Three years of proving that love doesn't need proximity to be real.
For You
5th Anniversary · 2025
My dearest Boney,
Five years ago, I took a chance on a stranger I matched with on an app and that chance turned out to be the best decision of my life. I still remember that first evening at Starbucks so clearly. How nervous I was… and how all of that nervousness disappeared the moment you smiled.
We explored Mumbai together, chasing sunsets on Marine Drive, trying new restaurants, wandering through crowded streets and quiet moments slowly building something real and beautiful in the middle of an ordinary city. Somewhere between those evenings and endless conversations, you quietly became the most important part of my life.
And when distance came between us, I learned something I’ll carry forever: love doesn’t shrink with miles. It grows stronger, more stubborn, more patient. For three years I flew across the world to see you and I would take every single one of those flights again without hesitation. Every reunion reminded me exactly why I was waiting, and every goodbye made the next hello even more meaningful.
This year, you became my wife, and even now I still can’t quite believe how lucky I am. In just a few months, you’ll be here with me in our home, in our new life in the USA. No more airports. No more countdowns. Just us, waking up next to each other every day.
I built this little corner of the internet just for you a place where our story lives. So that no matter where life takes us, we can always come back here and remember where it all began, how far we’ve come, and everything we’ve built together.
Here’s to five beautiful years of love, patience, laughter, and memories. And to the lifetime that still waits ahead of us.
